Overpower the mind with “self-power”

Overpower the mind with “self-power”

The power in the mind is infinite. It is always active even in sleeping and waking condition. It’s a form of light, but it’s still coated with detritus. So let one’s soul be auspicious and pure, this is the offering to God. (Yajurveda 4/3/1)

One’s mind is a spiritual force. It is very strong and practical. It never stops working even when and individual rests. It thinks of something every now and then and wanders here and there. Often it contemplates the events of the past and sometimes journeys of the future. The mind is engrossed in decision-making, choice reflection, contemplation, logic, on a certain matter. It doesn’t pause for a moment. The situation continues in the waking state, and even when one goes to sleep, their mind’s actions are not silenced, it continues to see different kinds of visions. It is doing something or the other always. One’s mind moves faster than the speed of light.

Thoughts of the mind in the end make up one’s character. If the feelings of an individual are auspicious, then their words and deeds will be, and if the actions are auspicious, then the result will also be so. If feelings are inauspicious, then their expressions, acts and results will also be so. It’s important to think from the mind.

The power of evil thoughts gives rise to supernatural impulses within an individual. Brain is like a leash that guides the horses of the senses. When there are delusions in the head, the senses become a dog. When one’s brains are in control, senses stay like a healed horse. One who is consumed by unholy feelings lives in pain forever. Individuals with pure thoughts feels joy and are free as a result of their actions. Ignorance and comprehension of the human mind, auspicious and inauspicious emotions are the causes for misery or salvation.

One should always strive not to slow down the light in their brains by coating it with the dirt of delusions. Not a single undesired thought should occur in the streaming of emotions. May the flow of divine, auspicious and welfare resolutions continue to flow from the mind. This divinity in thinking is seen in one’s behavior, and on that basis, society always judges a person. On the basis of one’s deeds, they come to fame or disrespect and humiliation. Purity of mind purifies their actions. It is not a difficult task to subdue the mind for self-sufficient individuals.
